Yvette M. Dukes began her career with the former SmithKline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline) in 1992 and since that time has held various positions within Procurement. In 2002, Dukes transitioned to her current role as Supplier Diversity Sourcing Manager. Supplier Diversity supports the commercial ambitions of GSK through its commitment to identify and develop small diverse businesses while contributing to its social responsibility of improving the economies of the communities we serve.
Dukes is responsible for supporting the Sourcing Group Managers and the organization in developing and implementing strategies designed to strengthen the relationship GSK has with small, diverse businesses. She is also responsible for increasing awareness across the organization, influencing behaviors, and strengthening small businesses by proactively participating in small supplier development opportunities.
In addition to her passion to drive the Supplier Diversity initiative within GSK, Dukes also collaborates with various external groups to help level the playing field for small businesses and vigorously try to make a difference across industries. To support this effort she is a board member on the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware region of the National Minority Supplier Development Council and she actively participates in various outreach events within the greater Philadelphia area.
Dukes holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Central State University, Wilberforce, OH. In her personal time, Yvette enjoys working in her sorority to uplift and support young girls in her community.
