There is also a wave of consumer companies making a splash entering the healthcare space and driving exciting change.

Guest Speakers:

Stephen MaddenStephen Madden – Editor-in-Chief and GM – Medical, Marketing and Media (MM&M)
A native of Boston, Steve Madden is the general manager and editor-in-chief of MM&M. A publishing industry veteran, Madden has held staff positions at Fortune, Sports Illustrated, MLB Advanced Media, F+W Media and health and wellness publisher Rodale. He has won two National Magazine Awards for his work at Bicycling. Madden’s consulting business, Mana Content, has overseen strategy for diverse clients such as Nutrisystem, Golf Magazine, Strategic Insight and Zagster. He was the technical consultant to the film “The Armstrong Lie,” and is the author of Embrace the Suck: A Crossfit Memoir (HarperCollins).

 

Amanda Nguyen, Ph.D – Health Economist – GoodRx
Dr. Nguyen is a health economist on the Research Team at GoodRx. She applies her expertise in economic modeling and econometrics to help investigate and demystify complex issues in the healthcare market for consumers. She has contributed to GoodRx research on topics such as copay savings programs, out-of-pocket costs, and prescription drug formulary changes.

Prior to GoodRx, she worked as a consultant at Analysis Group, where she served as an economics expert in complex litigation matters involving payers, providers, and PBMs. A graduate of UC Berkeley, she completed her doctoral degree in economics at UCLA with a focus in health economics and applied microeconomics. While at UCLA, she also lectured in the economics department, teaching econometrics.

 

Chris Sandroussi – Senior Director, Digital Wound Care – 3M-Medical Solutions Division
Since joining KCI (now 3M) in 2008, Chris pioneered KCI’s digital health strategy, termed Digital Wound Care. Following the acquisition of KCI by 3M, Chris continues to lead this organization, leveraging concepts such as mHealth, remote monitoring, and other technologies in a pragmatic way to improve both clinical and economic outcomes, while enhancing patient and healthcare professional experiences.
