THE RISE OF SOCIAL INFLUENCERS IN HEALTHCARE

Social Media “Influencers” have been front and center in the consumer world for many years. Companies and brands harness the power of authentic voices to connect and engage with like-minded audiences. Well…healthcare has now entered the conversation, and in a big way. The emergence of patient & caregiver influencers, and Digital Opinion Leaders (DOLs) is changing the digital healthcare landscape. In this session, we will explore how healthcare is identifying and activating patient, caregiver, and HCP influencers across multiple initiatives. Whether driving disease state awareness, recruiting for clinical trials in hard-to-reach populations, sharing novel data and insights — the role of this new breed of influencers is proving endless. You’ll hear about the rise of this new digital channel in healthcare, how to apply it to your business, and from a panel of healthcare professionals who will share case studies of this strategy in action. Don’t miss being on the forefront of this new frontier.

AB 962 - THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES

Last year we began the discussion on AB 962 and how it was designed to promote diversity by requiring licensed hospitals in California to report their supplier diversity procurement efforts with minority, women, LGBT, and veteran-owned businesses. This year, we continue that discussion, layering in some new learnings and insights, new experts, and more discussions about the future, including California’s currently proposed AB 1392, which would require hospitals to create and report on plans to increase procurement from diverse suppliers, and AB 1204, which requires equity reporting.

WHAT DO YOU GET OUT OF THIS SESSION?

Hospitals: Hear from peers and relevant experts about what this means for you and how you can make this part of your reporting process.

Suppliers: Learn about regulations promoting the use of diverse suppliers in the California health care systems. Health & Life Sciences Corporate Partners: Learn about how California’s health care ecosystem is developing to

support diverse suppliers.

SUPPLY CHAIN CYBER SECURITY RISK MANAGEMENT

Typically a Risk Assessment includes questions as it relates to Cyber Security. You might think that corporations look to the four walls of their company in terms of cyber security, but they actually look to how they can also protect their supply chain, as that is an additional level that needs to be addressed when it comes to cyber security. In this session, we will review what corporations are looking at, how they can help suppliers, what is expected of the supplier, and what suppliers need to put in place for their companies. We will learn of real-life situations and steps corporations and suppliers can take to mitigate these issues that may arise.

Understand the journey of supply chain cyber security management. We will explain how to strengthen cyber security in your supply chain and to be aware of the importance of assessments, audits, policies and procedures, cyber insurance and goal setting for creating a more robust structure to protect your assets and business partners.
